Your volume study is scheduled on __________________at ___________ in Fairview Southdale Hospital. You should have nothing to eat after midnight the day before your volume study if you are scheduled for a morning procedure. If you are scheduled for an afternoon procedure you should restrict your diet to clear liquids in the morning and have nothing three hours prior to the afternoon study. Please purchase a Fleet’s Enema at your local pharmacy and use it at home the morning of your procedure. You should report to the hospital outpatient department at ________________. You may drive after the procedure as no sedation is required.
Your doctor will let you know after the volume study whether we will be able to schedule you for Brachytherapy (seed placement). You may require extra Lupron therapy to help reduce the size of your prostate. If you do not hear from our office, please call.
